Service Description: Address points and buffer within 1/2 mile of a commercial railroad. These addresses are susceptible to a potential evacuation in the scenario of a train derailment. The 1/2 mile evacuation zone was recommended by the Department of Transportation. This dataset was created for the 5 year hazard mitigation plan for Crawford County Department of Public Safety. Updates are scheduled every 5 years as the plan is updated. In the event of an actual train derailment, the Train Derailment Buffer layer will be used to find updated addresses.
