Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>This polygon feature class was created by the Crawford County Planning Office for the purpose of demonstrating the extent of the geographic submarkets comprising Crawford County. Submarkets were originally proposed as a part of the 2018 Crawford County Housing Study and were later incorporated into the recommendations and strategies of the 2019 Crawford County Housing Plan which amended Crawford County’s 2014 Comprehensive Plan. Submarkets were delineated as similar areas based on housing characteristics and commuting patterns. This feature class was created in 2021 as part of an effort to monitor and appropriate funding to local municipalities for projects secured through Crawford County’s Act 13 Grant Program. The polygon geometry represented by this feature class was compiled from cross referencing geometry on local municipal boundaries created by the Crawford County Planning Office with geometry for 2010 Census Tracts provided by the United States Census Bureau. In addition to demonstrating the spatial extent of each submarket, this feature class contains data for each feature within a series of fields. These fields include:</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>Name – A text field used to record the name of the submarket as it was originally defined within the 2018 Crawford County Housing Study.</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>Subregion – A text field used to classify the region of Crawford County within which a submarket belongs based upon the definitions supplied by the 2018 Crawford County Housing Plan. </SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>Population – A numeric field used to document of the total population within a submarket based on the sum of population estimates from the most recent decennial census count of the municipalities or census tracts that comprise each submarket. </SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>Employed_Workers – A numeric field used to document an approximation of the total number of jobs within a submarket based on the sum of estimates for employed individuals in the labor force from the most recent decennial census count of the municipalities or census tracts that comprise each submarket.</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>Dated Created – A date field used to document when a feature was created. </SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>Date Edited – A date field used to document when a feature was last edited. </SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
